Fly reel Lamson Hyperspeed F Ranger
The Lamson Hyperspeed F stands out as a high-end fly reel designed for anglers who demand maximum line retrieval speed without compromising strength or durability.
At the core of its performance is the focus on "retrieve rate per ounce" – a benchmark that measures how much line is picked up relative to the reel’s weight. The innovative ultra-large arbor design delivers extraordinarily fast line pickup: the -5+ model retrieves around 11.5″ (29 cm) of line per spool rotation, while the -7+ hits an astounding 12.5″ (32 cm) per rotation.
Every inch of the frame and spool is precision CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, with material strategically distributed along key load paths for exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. The result is a reel that feels incredibly light yet impressively robust and stable.
The sealed conical drag system offers a smoothly progressive range of drag settings with fine stopping power when you need it. Its sealed nature helps keep debris and water out, making it suitable for freshwater use and – with proper care – for lighter saltwater applications.
Manufactured and assembled in Boise, Idaho (USA), the Hyperspeed F combines cutting-edge design with rugged reliability for anglers pushing the limits of performance.

Important care tips:
Do not remove the drag knob or the two-holed nut in the center of the drag knob for any reason.
Always ensure the Gland Cap is tight, especially before using the reel the first time or after reversing the retrieve direction. Be sure to periodically check that the cap is on securely; it should always be firmly tightened by hand, do not use a tool. The Gland Cap should seat completely on the drag cylinder when installed properly.
The drag system is meant to operate lubrication free. Do not use any type of oil or lubricant in or around the drag system. A small amount of WD-40 may be applied to the retrieve handle in order to remove any dirt build up between the handle and the handle shaft.
Occasionally rinse your reel thoroughly under fresh running water and wipe the spool and frame to remove any debris or dirt build up. Be sure to wipe down the spindle on the spool and keep it free of debris.
