Fly reel Lamson Litespeed M Ultramarine
The Lamson Litespeed M is a premium saltwater fly reel designed for anglers who demand top-tier performance under the most challenging conditions. It blends innovative engineering with lightweight precision to deliver exceptional results on powerful saltwater species, from permit to tarpon and GT.
At its core is a hybrid Cobalt drag system, featuring a fixed spindle, large heat-dissipating conical drag surfaces, and a click-stop drag knob. This configuration provides smooth, predictable drag progression with high stopping power when battling hard-running fish.
The reel’s frame and spool are fully CNC machined, ensuring outstanding stiffness and strength while keeping weight to an absolute minimum. This delivers an optimal strength-to-weight ratio that enhances both casting comfort and line retrieval efficiency.
The ultra large arbor design increases line pickup speed and reduces line memory, while the IPX8 waterproof certification means the drag system is protected from sand, salt, and debris even under extremly use.
Characteristic:
- Fully CNC-machined frame and spool for premium durability
- Large-arbor spool design for fast line pickup and reduced memory
- Hybrid Cobalt style drag system:
- Lightest reels for size to date—still extremely strong structure
- Pressure rated (IPX) drag system
- Threaded nut spool retention system
- Indexing drag knob with click settings
- Larger high torque (up to 15 lbs) Delrin/Teflon composite drag cone
- Linear progression drag springs - predictable drag tension
- Built in the USA with high-quality material

Important care tips:
Do not remove the drag knob or the two-holed nut in the center of the drag knob for any reason.
Always ensure the Gland Cap is tight, especially before using the reel the first time or after reversing the retrieve direction. Be sure to periodically check that the cap is on securely; it should always be firmly tightened by hand, do not use a tool. The Gland Cap should seat completely on the drag cylinder when installed properly.
The drag system is meant to operate lubrication free. Do not use any type of oil or lubricant in or around the drag system. A small amount of WD-40 may be applied to the retrieve handle in order to remove any dirt build up between the handle and the handle shaft.
Occasionally rinse your reel thoroughly under fresh running water and wipe the spool and frame to remove any debris or dirt build up. Be sure to wipe down the spindle on the spool and keep it free of debris.
