FAQ
▸ What sets the Flyweight Backpack apart from other Simms backpacks?
The Simms Flyweight Backpack is optimised for extreme lightness: its construction minimises the empty weight of the pack, allowing the angler to move more nimbly on the river without compromising on sufficient capacity for a fishing day. It is the ideal choice for those who prioritise mobility and cover long distances during fly fishing sessions.
▸ Is the Flyweight Backpack water-resistant?
Yes. The Simms Flyweight Backpack is made with technical, water-resistant materials designed to protect the contents from splashes and moisture during wading. For complete protection of more delicate items, we recommend the use of additional waterproof inner bags.
▸ What can I carry in the Flyweight Backpack?
The Simms Flyweight Backpack is ideal for carrying fly boxes, a light extra layer, snacks, water, forceps, floatant, tippet and all the essentials for a fly fishing session. Its optimised construction makes it perfect for dynamic outings where speed of movement is the priority.
▸ Is it comfortable to wear even during intensive wading sessions?
Yes. The ergonomic design of the Simms Flyweight Backpack, with adjustable shoulder straps and an optimised back panel, ensures high comfort even during the most demanding wading sessions. The ultra-lightweight profile reduces fatigue during long walks along the river between fishing spots.
▸ Can it also be used outside fishing, as an everyday backpack?
Absolutely. The understated style and Smoke colour of the Simms Flyweight Backpack also make it suitable as an everyday backpack, for general outdoor activities, or for travel. Simms' build quality guarantees durability well beyond fly fishing contexts.
