This combed Icelandic hair with a minimum of undercoat and 5 15 cm long fibers can be used for various imitations of "Baitfish patterns" and finds its use also for tying for streamers in tropical fishing areas. The soft material keeps its voluminous shape even in the water and thus creates a great silhouette.

Furthermore, this material is also popularly used by salmon fly tyers for patterns with long wings and many Scandinavian salmon fly patterns. Of course this natural material can also be combined with synthetic material like Crystal Flash or Holofibers to increase the attractiveness of the fly.
