Soft Streamer Tail Material
Our classic marabou is taken from 100mm length turkey bloods, from Veniard Strung bloods (smaller, younger feathers) and Megapack. These feathers are softer and more flexible than Marabou quills, allowing the tyer to maximise the use of the material. Can be wound as a hackle, but usually sections of the feather are used for tails, wings or throats. Is a common fly tying material. It’s usually used for making medium streamers and woolly buggers, but it’s also a useful ingredient for tying small trout flies.
