The Loomis & Franklin LMF RADIUS is a compact and versatile fly reel designed particularly for Euro Nymphing, while also being suitable for traditional nymphing, dry-fly fishing, and light streamer fishing. Its defining feature is the fully enclosed reel frame, which keeps the line securely contained on the spool and is especially useful when fishing with mono or very thin fly lines. Euro Nymphing often involves extremely thin lines and monofilament setups. With a conventional open-frame reel, thin line can move over the edge of the spool or become wrapped around the reel axis.
