The Loomis & Franklin MAC2 9′0″ #4/5 is a balanced all-round fly rod designed specifically for dry fly and nymph fishing. With a length of 9 feet (2.75 mt), it offers an ideal combination of range and control: long enough to achieve a clean presentation, but not so long that it becomes unwieldy in narrow sections of stream.

High-quality materials and components

The rod blank is made of high-quality carbon fiber with Micro Pitch Nano Technology, which allows for a good balance between lightness, sensitivity, and power. This construction gives you enough resilience to “charge” cleanly even on shorter casts, while providing enough power reserves to maintain good control when casting with more line or heavier flies.

It has a “true” progressive curve, which gives the rod the right adjustments in terms of the load you gradually have during the cast.  All these all-round qualities make the MAC/2 9'0" #4/5 ideal for anglers who fish in a variety of waters – from streams and trout rivers to larger rivers or lakes where you cast dry flies as well as nymphs.
