Orvis C.F.O. – Made in USA Click-and-Pawl Fly Reel
The Orvis C.F.O. fly reel draws on the design of the 1971 model created by Stan Bogdan, with a ported spool, open frame and traditional Click-and-Pawl drag. Made in the USA, it is designed for trout fishing in streams, rivers and lakes.
The adjustable Click-and-Pawl drag uses a spring-and-pawl mechanism that produces its distinctive clicking sound as a fish takes line. An external control adjusts the resistance, while the exposed spool rim lets you apply extra pressure by hand during a fight.
The frame and spool are made from precision-machined aluminium. Type III anodising protects the surfaces against wear and corrosion, while the open construction and ported spool keep weight down. The Black / Silver finish pairs black surfaces with silver details.
The spool is interchangeable, and the reel converts between right- and left-hand retrieve. Spare spools are available separately. Current-generation spools are not compatible with older C.F.O. models. A protective neoprene case is included.
