Orvis PRO BOA® Wading Boots – Wading Boots with Michelin® Soles
The Orvis PRO BOA® Wading Boots combine Michelin® rubber outsoles with the finely adjustable fit of the BOA® Fit System. Designed for fly fishing in rivers and streams, they feature a reinforced construction for walking across rocky riverbeds.
The BOA® Fit System allows precise fit adjustment using a dial, distributing tension evenly across the foot. The fit can be adjusted during the fishing day without tying or untying traditional laces. A large rear pull tab makes the boots easier to put on and take off.
The Michelin® Outdoor Extreme rubber outsole combines a specialist compound with a tread inspired by Michelin® tyre technology. Its large contact area helps distribute pressure and provides stability on uneven riverbeds. The outsole accepts optional wading studs.
According to tests reported by Orvis, the outsole provides 25% greater abrasion resistance and 43% greater wet traction than the competing products used in the tests. These figures refer to that manufacturer comparison.
The quick-drying Clarino® microfibre upper is lightweight and durable. A moulded polyurethane (PU) construction eliminates seams in areas most exposed to wear. Abrasion-resistant rubber reinforcements protect the toes and heels from impacts against rocks and submerged obstacles.
The anatomically shaped, 3D-moulded OrthoLite® X25 footbed provides arch support and cushioning. A dual-layer, high-density Phylon midsole with an integrated ESS plate absorbs impacts and improves torsional stability. The high-cut design supports the ankle, while closed-cell foam padding reduces water absorption and promotes faster drying.
