Vision Polyleader Salmon

Polyleaders consist of a thin tapered monofilament core with a flexible polymer coating on the outside. This is why they are more durable and turn over better than normal leaders. The loop in the leader eases the change of leader to either floating, intermediate or sinking.

  • High-quality polyleader for salmon, sea trout or steelhead fishing
  • Balanced taper for good power transmission in casting
  • Consists of a mono tapered core with an elastic polymer coating
  • Welded ring at the rear end
  • Diameter of the tip: 0.50 mm
  • Load capacity: 18 kg
  • Made in the EU with non-toxic and lead-free materials

Floating Polyleader: these polyleaders float on the surface of the water and are good for fishing with dry flies or wet flies that are to be fished on the surface. They have no sink rate and keep the fly on the surface.

Intermediate Polyleader: These polyleaders sink slowly and are in the middle water column. They are good for fishing wet flies and nymphs in shallow waters or when the fish are active intermediate depths.

Sink tip Polyleader: These polyleaders have a faster sink rate and sink faster to reach greater depths. They are useful when the fish are active in deeper waters.

Fast / Ex. Fast Sink Polyleader: These polyleaders have the fastest sink rate and are designed to reach great depths quickly. They are ideal for fishing in deep lakes and pools or when stream fishing in strong, deep current.

Your choice of polyleader depends on several factors, including water depth, fish behavior and the type of flies you use. It is often useful to have different polyleaders with different sink rates in your gear to adapt to changing conditions.
