FAQ
▸ What is the difference between the Tailwind Reel Vault and the Tailwind Rod & Reel Vault?
The Tailwind Reel Vault is a dedicated case exclusively for reel protection, ideal for those who want to protect one or more reels separately from the rod. The Tailwind Rod & Reel Vault is a combined hard case that protects both disassembled rod and reel together, designed for integrated gear transport during travel.
▸ How many reels does the Tailwind Reel Vault hold?
The Simms Tailwind Reel Vault is designed for the secure protection up to 8 piece fly fishing reels. For precise information on capacity and compatibility with reels of specific sizes, we recommend contacting our team for personalised advice.
▸ Does the Reel Vault protect against moisture and weather?
Yes. The robust construction of the Simms Tailwind Reel Vault provides protection not only from mechanical impacts, but also from moisture and adverse weather conditions during transport. The secure closure guarantees optimal sealing under any travel or storage condition.
▸ Is it suitable for long-term reel storage?
Absolutely. The Simms Tailwind Reel Vault is also ideal for safe storage of reels at home, in the car, or on a boat, protecting equipment from dust, accidental impacts, and mechanical damage. Storing the reel in the case extends its lifespan and maintains mechanical precision.
▸ Can it be used as a case for spare reels on fishing trips?
Yes. The Simms Tailwind Reel Vault is the ideal solution for safely transporting spare or additional reels with different line setups on fly fishing trips. Its protective construction ensures every reel arrives in perfect working condition.
