FAQ
▸ Is the Tailwind Roller suitable for air travel?
Yes. The Simms Tailwind Roller is designed for hold baggage on fishing trips. Its robust construction protects gear during baggage handling operations. Always verify your airline's weight and size restrictions and ensure the roller is correctly closed and labelled with your name and contact details.
▸ Is the wheel system suitable for uneven terrain?
The Simms Tailwind Roller is equipped with a robust wheel system designed for transport on standard surfaces such as airport floors, pavements, and paved paths. For very uneven or unpaved terrain, we recommend carrying the roller by hand to preserve wheel longevity over time.
▸ What can I carry in the Tailwind Roller?
The Simms Tailwind Roller is ideal for spare clothing, thermal layers, waders, waterproof jackets, spare shoes, towels, and fishing accessories for multi-day trips. The wheel system with telescopic handle makes it particularly suitable for long airport transfers or between different fishing destinations.
▸ Is the Tailwind Roller water-resistant?
Yes. The Simms Tailwind Roller is made with technical, water-resistant materials designed to protect contents from splashes and moisture during transport. For complete protection in heavy rain or for sensitive contents, we recommend the use of additional waterproof inner bags.
▸ How do you care for and maintain the Tailwind Roller long-term?
For cleaning, rinse the roller with fresh water after each use in saline or particularly dirty environments. For more thorough cleaning, use a soft sponge with mild soap. Regularly check the condition of the wheels and telescopic handle. Avoid machine washing. Store in a dry place with zips open to promote ventilation.
